Working in roof spaces
and attics - use the safety
trellis insulated 240 Mat

For personal safety when working in roof spaces,
attics and lofts, while avoiding collateral damage, the 240 Mat:

Prevents falls through ceilings

•    Provides a safe working platform for inspections, refurb and maintenance work, plumbing, electrics, aerial rigging, etc

•    Is electrically insulated; meeting portable appliance electrical test standards

•   The closed 240 Mat is easy to carry into the building and is simple to insert up through a hatch into the roof space, loft or attic

•   Inside the roof space, the 240 Mat is opened up across the rafters to form a light but strong working platform.  It is easy to move and adjust to provide optimum coverage for the work to be conducted – even in restricted spaces

•   Two sizes are available; typical open sizes are: 2.0 x 0.8 m; 1.6 m2  and  2.0 x 0.95 m; 1.9 m2

•   The 240 Mat has a layer of tough insulation tested for 230-240 Volt safety to the European Norm / British Standard (IEE) portable appliance test (PAT) criterion

The 240 Mat helps building operatives meet HSE safety requirements whilst improving the efficiency of work in restricted spaces in roof attics

Using experience on many sites, Oxford Safety has compiled a method statement for the use of the 240 Mat to create a temporary, light-weight safety working platform for when working inside roof spaces, attics, lofts and similar roof voids.
